Please make sure you have downloaded the above apps to your phone.

How do I open and close the studio?

There are a few simple steps to gaining access to the studios and opening and closing each of them. There are some slight variations at each studio, however in general the following things are key to opening & closing:

Door code - Sarah will give each instructor the studio door codes depending on where they will teach, this is on you to reach out and obtain prior to your first class.

When will my mock and community classes be scheduled?

During teacher training, we will request each trainee to submit dates and times of their availability over the following month. For mock classes, we will then coordinate with our existing staff to match up availability. Once you have completed your final mock class, we will use your availability to add a community class to the schedule for clients to sign up for. Most of the time these will be scheduled when there is not already a class on the schedule.  You will receive a link for both mock and community sign ups during weekend 1 of TT.

What is expected of me in my Mock and Community classes?

Once you have completed your first two weekends of teacher training and have an approved routine, each trainee will need to complete a series of mock and community classes. It is imperative that for all classes you arrive in plenty of time to complete all the necessary items.

In the mock classes you will be teaching other RR instructors. After completing mocks, you will then teach community classes which are actually paying clients. The expectations in each of these classes grows, by the end of your final mock you should be able to fully open the studio and start class without assistance from Chelsea or Jasmyn.

Mock Class

  • Pull up playlist on iPad

  • Put batteries in mic and put on windscreen

  • Have a time keeping device - stop watch or watch

  • Introduce yourself, ask for injuries, hands on adjustments

  • Start music at beginning of class

  • Pass out wipes at end of class & swap music

Community Class

  • Open studio without assistance

  • Greet and check in clients in MarianaTek or assist on iPad

    • New clients - welcome and check in

    • Existing - greet them and make sure they are checked in

    • Guests of Clients - welcome, check in, and convert them

  • Complete all items above

  • Close studio.

I finished my Mocks and Community classes, now what is expected of me?

Once you begin subbing classes and/or on the schedule, the expectations from your community class carry forward in addition to the following:

  • POS - assisting clients in purchasing items such as grip socks and RR merch

  • Downtime between classes - spruce up merchandise, make sure all supplies are stocked, make sure the studio is clean and picked up.

How do I submit my routines for review before I teach them?

You will be submitting your routines on a weekly basis to be reviewed by the Training team prior to you teaching them. Follow the below steps to have your routine reviewed:

  • Schedule meeting in Calendly

  • Email the routine and confirm you have scheduled your meeting

  • Routines need to be submitted via google sheet

How do I submit my teaching availability?

During teacher training each trainee will be asked to fill out an Instructor Availability Template for their availability at each of the studios. This form is located here.

Post teacher training, if your availability changes at all on a permanent basis, not just a vacation. You will need to resubmit the Availability Template to Chelsea and Jasmyn. Also, during certain times of the year RR management will request an updated Availability Template.

How do I submit my teaching availability?

If you have a temporary change in your availability and need a sub, you will submit your sub request through NetGym for the classes you will be unable to teach. For sub requests it is important to:

DO

  • Submit the sub request as soon as you know you need one. We understand emergencies come up but when you have advanced notice, please give us advanced notice.

  • If it is less than 48 hours, do text in the group chat as well for coverage otherwise it goes into netgym with no need to text the group

DON’T

  • Reach out to other instructors via text to try to swap classes.

  • Put in sub requests that are farther out than the current month we are in. Example, If it is October 1st and you know you will be gone November 5th, don’t put that sub request in until the November sub requests are requested by management.

What do I do when another instructor puts a sub request into NetGym?

You should have notifications turned on for NetGym so that you are either getting individual notifications or a daily summary of sub requests/approvals. For each pending sub request, you must go in and either accept or decline the request.
